Move the seatback to the desired position, then release the lever to lock the seatback in place. Push and pull on the seatback to make sure it is locked. To return the seatback to an upright position: 1. Even if you buckle up, your safety belts cannot do their job when you are reclined like this.
The shoulder belt cannot do its job. In a crash, you could go into it, receiving neck or other injuries. To lower one or both of the rear seatbacks: 1.
Pull forward on the tab, located on the outboard side of the seatback, to unlock the seatback. Notice: Folding a rear seat with the safety belts still fastened may cause damage to the seat or the safety belts. It also describes some things not to do with safety belts. Put someone on it. Take the simplest vehicle. Suppose it is just a seat on wheels. Page 22 Get it up to speed. Then stop the vehicle. The rider does not stop. In a real vehicle, it could be the windshield Page 23 or the instrument panel With safety belts, you slow down as the vehicle does.
You get more time to stop. You stop over more distance, and your strongest bones take the forces. That is why safety belts make such good sense. You could be — whether you are wearing a safety belt or not.
But your chance of being conscious during and after an accident, so you can unbuckle and get out, is much greater if you are belted. Be aware that there are special things to know about safety belts and children.
And there are different rules for smaller children and infants. If a child will be riding in the vehicle, see Older Children on page or Infants and Young Children on page Page 26 What is wrong with this? The shoulder belt is too loose. It will not give as much protection this way.
In a crash, you would move forward too much, which could increase injury. Page 27 What is wrong with this? The lap belt is too loose. It will not give nearly as much protection this way.
In a crash, you could slide under the lap belt and apply force on your abdomen. Page 28 What is wrong with this? The belt is buckled in the wrong buckle. In a crash, the belt would go up over your abdomen.
The belt forces would be there, not on the pelvic bones. Page 29 What is wrong with this? The belt is over an armrest. The belt would be much too high. In a crash, you can slide under the belt. The belt force would then be applied on the abdomen, not on the pelvic bones, and that could cause serious or fatal injuries. Page 30 What is wrong with this? The shoulder belt is worn under the arm. It should be worn over the shoulder at all times.
In a crash, your body would move too far forward, which would increase the chance of head and neck injury. Page 31 What is wrong with this? The belt is behind the body. In a crash, you would not be restrained by the shoulder belt. Your body could move too far forward increasing the chance of head and neck injury.
Page 32 What is wrong with this? The belt is twisted across the body. In a crash, you would not have the full width of the belt to spread impact forces. Page 33 Lap-Shoulder Belt All seating positions in the vehicle have a lap-shoulder belt. The following instructions explain how to wear a lap-shoulder belt properly. Adjust the seat, if the seat is adjustable, so you can sit up straight.
Page 34 5. To make the lap part tight, pull up on the shoulder belt. It may be necessary to pull stitching on the safety belt through the latch plate to fully tighten the lap belt on smaller occupants. The belt should return to its stowed position. Page 35 Shoulder Belt Height Adjuster The vehicle has a shoulder belt height adjuster for the driver and right front passenger seating positions.
Adjust the height so that the shoulder portion of the belt is centered on the shoulder. The belt should be away from the face and neck, but not falling off the shoulder. Page 36 There is one guide for each outboard passenger position in the rear seat. Here is how to install a comfort guide to the safety belt: 1. Pull the elastic cord out from between the edge of the seatback and the interior body to remove the guide from its storage clip. Page 37 3. The elastic cord must be under the belt and the guide on top.
Pull the guide upward to expose its storage clip, and then slide the guide onto the clip. Turn the guide and clip inward and slide them in between the seatback and the interior body, leaving only the loop of the elastic cord exposed.
Page 40 What is the proper way to wear safety belts? An older child should wear a lap-shoulder belt and get the additional restraint a shoulder belt can provide. The shoulder belt should not cross the face or neck. Never allow a child to wear the safety belt with the shoulder belt behind their back. A child can be seriously injured by not wearing the lap-shoulder belt properly. In a crash, the child would not be restrained by the shoulder belt. Page 42 Infants and Young Children Everyone in a vehicle needs protection!
This includes infants and all other children. Neither the distance traveled nor the age and size of the traveler changes the need, for everyone, to use safety restraints.
In fact, the law in every state in the United States and in every Canadian province says children up to some age must be restrained while in a vehicle. Never put a rear-facing child restraint in the right front seat. Page 44 What are the different types of add-on child restraints? In a crash, the belt would apply force on a body area that is unprotected by any bony structure. A booster seat can also help a child to see out the window.
Page Where To Put The Restraint When securing an add-on child restraint, refer to the instructions that come with the restraint which may be on the restraint itself or in a booklet, or both, and to this manual.
The child restraint instructions are important, so if they are not available, obtain a replacement copy from the manufacturer. This system is designed to make installation of a child restraint easier. A top tether anchor is built into the vehicle. The top tether attachment B on the child restraint connects to the top tether anchor in the vehicle in order to reduce the forward movement and rotation of the child restraint during driving or in a crash. Page 51 To assist you in locating the lower anchors, each seating position with lower anchors has two labels, near the crease between the seatback and the seat cushion.
To assist you in locating the top tether anchors, the top tether anchor symbol is located on the cover. In a crash, the child could be seriously injured or killed. This may damage these parts. Do not fold the empty rear seat with a safety belt buckled. Page 54 If the position you are using does not have a head restraint and you are using a dual tether, route the tether over the seatback.
Page Securing A Child Restraint In A Securing a Child Restraint in a Rear Seat Position When securing a child restraint in a rear seating position, study the instructions that came with the child restraint to make sure it is compatible with this vehicle. Page 56 3. Push the latch plate into the buckle until it clicks. Pull the rest of the shoulder belt all the way out of the retractor to set the lock.
Position the release button on the buckle so that the safety belt could be quickly unbuckled if necessary. Page 57 5. To tighten the belt, push down on the child restraint, pull the shoulder portion of the belt to tighten the lap portion of the belt and feed the shoulder belt back into the retractor. When installing a forward-facing child restraint, it may be helpful to use your knee to push down on the child restraint as you tighten the belt.
A rear seat is a safer place to secure a forward-facing child restraint. See Where to Put the Restraint on page In addition, the vehicle has a passenger sensing system which is designed to turn off the right front passenger frontal airbag and seat-mounted side impact airbag under certain conditions.
If a child restraint is secured using a safety belt and it uses a top tether, see Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children LATCH on page for top tether anchor locations. Page 60 5. To remove the child restraint, unbuckle the vehicle safety belt and let it return to the stowed position. Page 62 Here are the most important things to know about the airbag system: CAUTION: You can be severely injured or killed in a crash if you are not wearing your safety belt — even if you have airbags.
Airbags are designed to work with safety belts, but do not replace them. Airbags plus lap-shoulder belts offer protection for adults and older children, but not for young children and infants. Page 65 Driver Side shown, Passenger Side similar The roof-rail airbags for the driver, right front passenger, and second row outboard passengers are in the ceiling above the side windows.
Additional windshield breakage may also occur from the right front passenger airbag. Page 70 The passenger sensing system turns off the right front passenger frontal airbag under certain conditions.
The driver airbag, seat-mounted side impact airbags and the roof-rail airbags are not affected by the passenger sensing system. The passenger sensing system works with sensors that are part of the right front passenger seat.
No one can guarantee that an airbag will not deploy under some unusual circumstance, even though the airbag is turned off. Secure rear-facing child restraints in a rear seat, even if the airbag is off. Everyone in the vehicle who has outgrown child restraints should wear a safety belt properly — Page 73 5. If, after reinstalling the child restraint and restarting the vehicle, the on indicator is still lit, turn the vehicle off. Then slightly recline the vehicle seatback and adjust the seat cushion, if adjustable, to make sure that the vehicle seatback is not pushing the child restraint into the seat cushion.
Page 74 If this happens, use the following steps to allow the system to detect that person and enable the right front passenger frontal airbag: 1. Turn the vehicle off. Remove any additional material from the seat, such as blankets, cushions, seat covers, seat heaters, or seat massagers. Page Instrument Panel A wet seat can affect the performance of the passenger sensing system.
If this happens, the off indicator will be lit, and the airbag readiness light on the instrument panel will also be lit. Page Restraint System Check Restraint System Check Checking the Restraint Systems Safety Belts Now and then, check that the safety belt reminder light, safety belts, buckles, latch plates, retractors, and anchorages are all working properly.
Look for any other loose or damaged safety belt system parts that might keep a safety belt system from doing its job. A damaged restraint system may not properly protect the person using it, resulting in serious injury or even death in a crash.
To help make sure your restraint systems are working properly after a crash, have them inspected and any necessary replacements made as soon as Page 80 Section 2 Mirrors They could operate the power windows or other controls or even make the vehicle move. The windows will function with the keys in the ignition and children could be seriously injured or killed if caught in the path of a closing window.
Page 82 One of the following keys come with the vehicle. This key is used for the driver door, ignition, and glove box. This key, located inside the keyless access transmitter, is used for the driver door, glove box, and rear seat pass-through door. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: 1. There are other conditions that can affect the performance of the transmitter. Do not pull on the chrome base of the transmitter.
The Keyless Access System lets you lock and unlock the doors and access the trunk without removing the remote transmitter from your pocket, purse, briefcase, etc. Page Keyless Trunk Opening Keyless Trunk Opening Press the trunk release button located on the trunk lid above the license plate to open the trunk if the keyless access transmitter is within range. There are other conditions which can affect the performance of the transmitter.
See Keyless Access System on page Page 89 Trunk : Press and hold for about one second to unlock the trunk. If the engine is running, the shift lever must be in P Park for an automatic transmission or in Neutral with the parking brake set for a manual transmission. Place the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket with the buttons facing the front of the vehicle. The transmitter pocket is inside the center console storage area located between the driver and front passenger seats.
A beep sounds once the transmitter is programmed. Page 91 The procedure requires three, ten minute cycles to complete the matching process. The vehicle must be off. Page Remote Vehicle Start Remote Vehicle Start This vehicle may have a remote starting feature that allows you to start the engine from outside the vehicle. When the remote start system is active, the climate control system heats and cools the inside of the vehicle according to the previous settings of the system before turning the vehicle off.
Page 94 The remote vehicle start feature provides two separate starts, each with 10 minutes of engine running, or it provides one start with 10 minutes of engine running that may be extended 10 more minutes. When a door is locked, the handle will not open it.
The chance of being thrown out of the vehicle in a crash is increased if the doors are not locked. Lock : Remove the key from the ignition and press to lock the doors. Delayed Locking With this feature, you can delay the actual locking of the doors. These prevent passengers from opening the rear doors from the inside.
The rear door security locks are located on the inside edge of each rear door. The rear doors must be open to access them. Engine exhaust contains Carbon Monoxide CO which cannot be seen or smelled. Page 99 Press the button to open the trunk. With the Keyless Access System, when you have the transmitter, the trunk can be opened by the trunk release button located on the rear of the trunk above the license plate.
Do not use the handle as a tie-down. Rear-Seat Pass Through If the vehicle has the rear seat-pass through door, the trunk can be accessed through the rear seat. This is useful when transporting long items. To open the door, pull down the rear seat armrest. They can be overcome by the extreme heat and suffer permanent injuries or even death from heat stroke. Never leave a child, a helpless adult, or a pet alone in a vehicle, especially with the windows closed in warm or hot weather.
The windows will function and they could be seriously injured or killed if caught in the path of a closing window. Press or pull the switch fully and release it to activate the express feature.
Page Sun Visors Programming the Power Windows If the battery on the vehicle has been recharged, disconnected, or is not working, you will need to reprogram each front power window for the express-up feature to work. To program each front window, follow these steps: 1. This vehicle has theft-deterrent features, however, they do not make it impossible to steal. Theft-Deterrent System If your vehicle has this feature, the security light is located on the instrument panel cluster.
Page Immobilizer Testing the Alarm The alarm can be tested by following these steps: 1. Activate the system by locking the doors with the transmitter. Get out of the vehicle, close the door and wait for the security light to go out. Page Immobilizer Operation Key Access 6. Repeat the Steps 1 through 4 if additional keys are to be programmed. In an emergency, contact Cadillac Roadside Service.
See Roadside Service on page Do not leave the key or device that disarms or deactivates the theft deterrent system in the vehicle. The immobilization system is disarmed when the ignition control knob is pushed in and a valid transmitter is found in the vehicle.
Notice: Using a tool to force the key from its cylinder could cause damage or break the key. Using a tool to force the ignition control knob from its cylinder could damage it. Page Starting Procedure Starting Procedure 1. If the vehicle has the keyless access system, push the ignition control knob in and turn the knob to the START position. When the engine starts, let go of the ignition. Plug in the coolant heater at least four hours before starting your vehicle. Page Automatic Transmission Operation The shift lever is located on the center console between the front seats.
There are several different positions for the shift lever. P Park : This position locks the rear wheels. It is the best position to use when you start the engine because the vehicle cannot move easily. Page If you cannot shift out of P Park , ease pressure on the shift lever and push the shift lever all the way into P Park as you maintain brake application.
Then press the shift lever button and move the shift lever into another gear. Page D Drive : This position is for normal driving. It provides the best fuel economy. Page The tachometer display on the instrument panel cluster will show which gear the vehicle is in.
The number indicates the requested gear range when moving the shift lever forward or rearward. See Speedometer and Odometer on page for more information on the odometer. CTS-V vehicles use tracer lights around the outside of the tachometer as a performance up-shift light.
Vehicles with this feature have switches on the back of the steering wheel. Tap the left switch to downshift, and the right switch to upshift. The tachometer display on the instrument panel cluster will show which gear the vehicle is in and a number indicating the requested gear range when moving the shift lever forward or rearward.
Page Manual Transmission Operation If the vehicle has a manual transmission, the shift lever is located on the center console between the front seats. The following explains how to operate the manual transmission. Then slowly let up on the clutch pedal as you press the accelerator pedal. You could injure yourself or others.
Do not shift down more than one gear at a time when you downshift. Notice: If you skip more than one gear when you downshift, or if you race the engine when you release the clutch pedal while downshifting, you Shifts from 1 First to 2 Second or 3 Third are not allowed. This helps improve fuel mileage. Under harder acceleration, Skip Shift is disabled, and the driver has all gears available. The vehicle can roll. If you have left the engine running, the vehicle can move suddenly. Page Parking The Vehicle Manual Transmission If the vehicle has an uncharged battery or a battery with low voltage, try charging or jump starting the battery.
See Jump Starting on page for more information. To shift out of P Park use the following: 1. Apply the brake pedal. Do not park over papers, leaves, dry grass, or other things that can burn. But if you ever have to, here are some things to know.
Engine exhaust may enter the vehicle. This allows the driver to view the curb when parallel parking. If you do not use proper care before and while backing; Most vehicles include 30 trial minutes good for 60 days. It is also recommended that upon the sale of the vehicle, the programmed Universal Home Remote buttons should be erased for security purposes. Page 3. At the same time, press and hold both the Universal Home Remote button to be used to control the garage door and the hand-held transmitter button.
Do not release the Universal Home Remote button or the hand-held transmitter button until Step 4 has been completed. After you press this button, you will have 30 seconds to complete Step 8.
Immediately return to the vehicle. Firmly press and hold the Universal Home Remote button, chosen in Step 3 to control the garage door, for two seconds, and then release it. The indicator light will come on while the signal is being transmitted.
Erasing Universal Home Remote Buttons The programmed buttons should be erased when the vehicle is sold or the lease ends. To access, push on the lid. Center Console Storage Your vehicle has a center console with an upper and lower storage area.
To access the upper storage area, lift the driver side lever on the front of the console and lift the cover. Page Express-Close: To close the sunshade, fully press and release the front of the driver side switch. The sunshade will automatically close. To stop the sunshade partway, press the switch a second time. The sunshade will open automatically with the sunroof, but can also be opened manually.
Page The main components of the instrument panel are the following: A. Outlet Adjustment on page Instrument Panel Brightness on page Instrument Panel Cluster on page This warns others that you are having trouble. Horn Press near or on the horn symbols on the steering wheel pad to sound the horn. To operate the power tilt feature, push the control up or down to tilt the steering wheel up or down. Push the control forward or rearward to move the steering wheel toward the front or rear of the vehicle.
Move the lever all the way up or down to signal a turn. Page Flash-To-Pass Flash-to-Pass This feature allows the high-beam headlamps to be used to signal the driver in front of you that you want to pass. The closer the band is moved towards the delay. The windshield wiper lever must be in delay for this feature to work.
Page Windshield Washer The level one or lowest setting is at the bottom of the band. This setting lets more rain or snow collect on the windshield between wipes.
Turn the delay band forward to a higher setting to let less rain or snow collect on the windshield between wipes. The button is located on the climate control system panel.
Push to begin four heated wipe cycles. The headlamp washers clear debris from the headlamp lenses. The headlamp washers are located beneath the headlamps. Press the washer button located at the end of the windshield wiper lever, to wash the headlamps.
Both the headlamps and the windshield will be washed. Page Setting Cruise Control The cruise control buttons are located on the left side of the steering wheel. The indicator light on the button turns on when cruise control is on. Page Resuming a Set Speed Suppose the cruise control is set at a desired speed and then the brake is applied. This shuts off the cruise control. But it does not need to be reset.
Page Wiper Activated Headlamps Wiper Activated Headlamps This feature activates the headlamps and parking lamps after the windshield wipers have been in use for about six seconds.
For this feature to work, the exterior lamp control must be in AUTO. When it is bright enough outside, the low-beam headlamps will go off, and the DRL will turn back on.
Moving the switch out of the AUTO position will deactivate the system. Page Instrument Panel Brightness Instrument Panel Brightness The knob with this symbol is located on the instrument panel to the left of the steering column. Turn the knob clockwise or counterclockwise to brighten or dim the lights. Turn the knob completely clockwise to turn on the interior lamps. It then adjusts the voltage for best performance and extended life of the battery. Page Accessory Power Outlet S Accessory Power Outlet s Accessory power outlets can be used to connect auxiliary electrical equipment, such as a cellular telephone.
There are three accessory power outlets. There is an outlet located in the front storage area below the climate control system, one inside the center console storage bin, and one on the rear of the center console. One ashtray can be placed into the instrument panel storage compartment and the other into the center console rear compartment.
To use the lighter, push it in all the way and let go. When it is ready, it will pop back out by itself. Display H. Temperature Control B. Fan Control C. Power I. Air Conditioning D. AUTO J. Page Manual Operation The length of time needed for warm up depends on the outside temperature and the length of time that has elapsed since the vehicle was last driven.
Wait for the system to regulate. This may take from 10 to 30 minutes. Then adjust the temperature, if necessary. Page To change the current mode, select one of the following: Vent : Air is directed to the instrument panel outlets. The indicator light comes on to show which mode is being used.
The recirculation mode recirculates and helps to quickly cool the air inside the vehicle. It can be used to prevent outside air and odors from entering the vehicle. Remote Start Climate Control Operation: For vehicles with remote vehicle start feature and it is activated, the climate control system heats and cools the inside of the vehicle using the previous settings of the system before the vehicle was turned off.
Turn on the windshield wipers and turn the ignition off again when the wipers are straight up on the windshield. This allows access to the leaf screen. Page Instrument Panel Cluster Instrument Panel Cluster The instrument panel cluster is designed to indicate how the vehicle is running. It shows how fast the vehicle is going, how much fuel the vehicle has used and many of the other things needed to drive safely and economically.
The odometer shows how far the vehicle has been driven, in either miles used in the United States or kilometers used in Canada. If the vehicle has to have a new odometer installed, the new one may read the correct mileage.
Engine Speed Limiter This feature prevents the engine speed from reaching an unsafe level. Page Airbag Readiness Light This chime and light are repeated if the passenger remains unbuckled and the vehicle is in motion. If the passenger safety belt is buckled, neither the chime nor the light comes on.
The front passenger safety belt warning light and chime may turn on if an object is put on the seat such as a briefcase, handbag, grocery bag, laptop or other electronic device.
See Passenger Sensing System on page for important safety information. The instrument panel has a passenger airbag status indicator. United States When the vehicle is started, the passenger airbag status indicator will light ON and OFF, or the symbol for on and off, for several seconds as a system check.
If one part is not working, the other part can still work and stop the vehicle. For good braking both parts need to be working well. If the warning light comes on, there is a brake problem. If this light comes on there is a problem with a system on the vehicle that is causing the park brake system to work at a reduced level. If the system is working normally the indicator light then goes off. If the engine coolant overheats the engine coolant temperature warning light will come on.
Diagnosis and service might be required. Page Maintenance Schedule Oil Pressure Light For vehicles with an oil pressure light, if there is a problem with the oil, the light may stay on after the engine is started, or comes on while driving. This light indicates that oil is not going through the engine quickly enough to keep it lubricated. It shows the engine oil pressure in psi pounds per square inch when the engine is running. Canadian vehicles indicate pressure in kPa kilopascals.
Oil pressure may vary with engine speed, outside temperature and oil viscosity, but if readings are outside the normal operating range, the oil pressure light will come on.
Fog Lamp Light The fog lamp light comes on when the fog lamps are in use. The light goes out when the fog lamps are turned off.
See Fog Lamps on page for more information. Fuel Gage The fuel gage shows approximately how much fuel is in the fuel tank. This gage indicates positive manifold pressure which is the induction air pressure level in the intake manifold before it enters the combustion chamber.
This gage reads zero under light throttle before boost is generated. This estimate is based on the current driving conditions and changes if the driving conditions change. For example, if you are driving in traffic and making frequent stops, the display may read one number, but if you enter the freeway, the number may change even though you still have the same amount Blank Display This display shows no information.
The tire pressure is shown in either pounds per square inch psi or kilopascals kPa. Page To match an RKE transmitter to the vehicle: 1.
Compass Zone The zone is set to zone eight. If you do not live in zone eight or drive out of the area, the variance needs to be changed to the appropriate zone. Only calibrate the compass in a magnetically clean and safe location, such as an open parking lot, where driving the vehicle in circles is not a danger.
It is suggested to calibrate away from tall buildings, utility wires, manhole covers, or other industrial structures, if possible.
Multiple messages may appear one after another. Automatic Light Control On This message displays when the automatic headlamps are turned on. Battery Saver Active This message displays when the system detects that the battery voltage is dropping below expected levels. See DIC Compass on page for more information. Calibration Complete This message displays when the compass calibration is complete.
If this message appears, you may continue to drive at a slower speed. Page If moving the transmitter to different locations within the vehicle does not help, place the transmitter in the center console transmitter pocket with the buttons facing the front of the vehicle and then start the vehicle. The battery voltage must be above 10 volts for the keyless access transmitter to be detected properly. Check the oil level and correct it as necessary. You may need to let the vehicle cool or warm up and cycle the ignition to be sure this message clears.
This message clears itself after 10 seconds. Page Automatic Transmission Only Park Brake Released For vehicles with the Electric Parking Brake, this message displays when the parking brake has been released from the set position. See Electric Parking Brake on page for more information. Park Brake Set For vehicles with the Electric Parking Brake, this message displays when the parking brake has been applied to the set position. Ready To Learn Electronic Key X If the vehicle has the keyless access system, this message displays while matching new transmitters to the vehicle.
The brake system warning light on the instrument panel cluster also comes on. See Brake System Warning Light on page for more information. Page Service Transmission Service Theft Deterrent System This message displays when there is a problem with the theft-deterrent system programmed in the key. A fault has been detected in the system which means that the system is disabled and it is not protecting the vehicle.
The vehicle usually restarts; Once the shift lever is moved to P Park , the ignition needs to be turned off. Page Theft Attempted Stabilitrak Off This message displays when you turn off StabiliTrak, or when the stability control has been automatically disabled. Recheck the fuel cap to ensure that it is on and tightened properly.
Page Entering the Feature Settings Menu 1. Turn the ignition on. To avoid excessive drain on the battery, it is recommended that the headlamps are turned off. Press the customization button to enter the feature settings menu. Feature Settings Menu Items The following are customization features that allow you to program settings to the vehicle: Display In English See Programmable Automatic Door Locks on page for more information.
Page Remote Door Lock Feedback This feature allows you to select the type of feedback you will receive when locking the vehicle with the Remote Keyless Entry RKE or keyless access transmitter, or when the vehicle is automatically locked using the Keyless Locking feature.
Page Exit Lighting Remote Door Unlock Feedback This feature allows you to select the type of feedback you will receive when unlocking the vehicle with the Remote Keyless Entry RKE or keyless access transmitter, or when the vehicle is automatically unlocked using the Keyless Unlock feature.
You will not receive feedback when unlocking the vehicle with the transmitter if the doors are open. Page Keyless Locking If the vehicle has the keyless access system, this feature allows you to select whether the doors automatically lock during normal vehicle exit.
When the ignition is turned off and all doors become closed, the vehicle will determine how many keyless access transmitters remain in the vehicle interior. See Keyless Access System Operation on page for more information. Page Easy Exit Recall If the vehicle has this feature, it allows you to select your preference for the automatic easy exit seat feature. Page Audio System S Easy Exit Setup If the vehicle has this feature, it allows you to select which areas will recall with the automatic easy exit seat feature.
It also allows you to turn off the automatic easy exit feature. Page Radio S This system provides access to many audio and non audio listings. If the vehicle does not have one of these radio systems, it may have a navigation radio system. See the Navigation System manual for more information on the navigation audio system. Press to turn the system on and off. Turn the VOL knob clockwise or counterclockwise to increase or decrease the volume.
The radio only tunes into stations with a strong signal that are in the selected band. Tune to favorite stations using the presets, favorites button, and steering wheel controls, if the vehicle has this feature. See Defensive Driving on page Continue pressing to highlight the desired label, or press the pushbutton positioned under the desired label. Page Digital Signal Processing DSP If the radio has this feature, it is used to provide a choice of different listening experiences.
To choose a DSP setting, perform the following steps: 1. This CD player holds up to six CDs. To insert one CD: 1. Press and release the load button.
Wait for the message to insert the disc. Press the right arrow to go to the next track. If either arrow is held, or pressed multiple times, the player continues moving backward or forward through the tracks on the CD. Sound is heard at a reduced volume. Press once to change playback to a speed of 2X. Each successive press changes playback to a speed of 4X, 10X, or 21X.

The Gracenote radio to record an audio CD to the HDD and store the content using song, artist, album and genre information.
